Meet the Founder

Melissa Ellen

I am a lawyer by training and an educator by choice. While I hold a law degree and was called to the bar, my career has always been driven by a deep commitment to education. For the last eight years, I have focused on building a learning community where students can connect, learn, and thrive together. In that time, I have taught thousands of online classes and met so many wonderful families from all over the world.

Building Wild Prairie Learning

What started as a solo project has grown into a thriving community supported by a dedicated team of educators. I have poured my heart into building this academy with intentionality, ensuring that every detail is organized so that our students always come first. Today, Wild Prairie Learning is a place where elementary learners truly feel at home while they grow and discover.

Empowering the Educator Community

As I scaled my school and doubled our reach and impact several years in a row, I realized I could help other teachers find that same success. Many talented educators have a passion for teaching but feel overwhelmed by the business side of their work. I now use my experience as a founder to coach teachers as they move into leadership roles. My mission is to provide the strategic roadmap you need to grow your impact, so you can stay focused on the heart of your work and the students you love.
